So a quick introduction for anyone who happened to randomly stumble across this blog, Im a 19 year old student at MUN taking pre social work and as a pre req course I need to take Womens Studies 2000 part of this course is keeping a reflective journal on the topics discussed. So this will be my reflective journal, I wanted to keep a blog for a few reasons so I'm going to quickly discuss those and then get into the actual journal part (probably in a separate post just to keep things organized)

The first reason I wanted to keep a blog as opposed to a hard copy journal was because I realized recently that there are a lot of myths and misconceptions surrounding womens studies programs as a whole and I wanted to clear some of that up.

Secondly I wanted to give a voice to some of the issues discussed, And this is a unique platform to do that. Why have a voice if your not going to use it?

Third I thought blogging would be a bit more efficient and the idea just seemed cool.
