I don't know where I stand thought wise when it comes to todays movie, On one hand I do sympathize with the step mother, Even though at first she didn't necessarily deal with the abuse that well at the end she really did do the best that she could do and I respect that however I can understand the pain that that child was going through I mean can you imagine being in that situation where your own father is raping you and you tell your step mother expecting her to help and as far as you can see she is doing nothing. That has got to hurt. So I guess you could say that I feel sympathy for both the step mother and the child, That leaves the father. Maybe Im harsh or a bitch . . . But I cant begin to fathom what would give somebody the idea that they are entitled or that it is acceptable to rape there own daughter. I just cant understand. As far as the community its self goes well we see every day people who see outrageous stuff happening but don't do anything to help for fear that it iwll effect them, Kitty Genovese was brutally raped and murdered 30+ people heard her screams and no one called the police until she was already dead. Where do we as humans determine that we are responsible for the well being of our fellow humans ?
