Hate begets hate and thats pretty sad.

I think the most emotionally draining part of the laramie project was when somebody was discussing the juror selection for one of the trials.

This guys friends family acquaintances were able to stand in front of him and say that they would be able to sentence him to death.

Why must we use hate as a punishment for hate ? Why cant we just focus on learning maybe being proactive and working on whats causing these issues in society ?

What those 2 boys did was WRONG it was despicable sickening disgusting and scary. But will killing them bring Matt back ? No.

I really liked Mr.Sheppards courtroom speech those 2 will learn more by waking up every morning and knowing what they did they they would have learned by being sentenced to death.

Its hard for me to say who I feel sympathy for I feel horrible for the killers families, the Sheppard family and truthfully the whole community of Laramie. I feel sympathy for the killers in some ways because they have to live with that and that must feel awful and I feel horrible that they felt that that was ok. What a lonely world they must live in.

But mostly I feel sorry for the kids who are being brought into a world so full of hate. And for anyone in society who has felt any type of that hate. And for those who have demonstrated that hate. I guess I just feel bad for everyone.

Man once sang to me
Look at you saving the world on your own
And I wonder how things gonna be
Cos the time here it passes so slow
In a city of devils we live
A city of devils we live
Find somebody to learn
Boy you gotta love someone more than yourself
I can feel the fire of the city lights burn
It's hard to find angels in hell

I don't really want to write about the laramie project until we've seen the rest of the movie however I do really recommend that anyone who has not seen this film go out and watch it ASAP.

I also want to clear up what I think is a misconception, Christianity does not promote homophobia, I know it can appear to because yes the bible does say that homosexuality is wrong (truthfully Im completely undecided) HOWEVER it also states that two main "rules" for Christianity are love God and love your neighbor. It teaches love compassion and acceptance and I am sorry if anyone has given given another idea.

Me and a friend of mine are both Christians we both wear "Outlive homophobia" bracelets because we don't think it is fair for someone to think that God or Society hates them for something like that. I think the idea of hating someone for their sexuality is stupid and wrong and sickening . . . Hate itself is all of those things.

Just wanted to clear that up because sometimes I feel that because of a few peoples actions Christianity has been misrepresented. Kind of unrelated but definitely important.

I've heard what they say, but I'm not here for trouble.

This isnt going to be the main topic of my blog for today but I do want to clarify what I said in class and also get some other things off my chest.

To start I am not "Pro life" NOR am I "Pro Choice" I refuse to join any official type of "movement" On the abortion topic because I feel that no matter where you stand you get shot at. Nor do I know what is right for me because I have never had to choose.

HOWEVER I do staunchly believe that when a person engages in sexual intercourse they need to be AWARE of the consequences and they need to be PREPARED for those consequences. For someone to say "Oh well I didnt have sex expecting to get pregnant" Is not an excuse . . . Most rapeists dont rape expectign to get caught does that mean that if they do get caught then they should not be held accountable for there actions? If a person has taken precautions used a condom/is on the pill etc etc and then happen to get pregnant well whatever they want to do is up to them at least they were proactive before hand and took some action.

Im also not against the legalization of abortion . . . At least now its safe and I do believe that a women has the right to be safe in whatever choice she makes.

She had her eye across the street
On someone shy and tall
We lived our dreams
And challenged fate
In tears she told me she was late
And sally let his pigeons out to fly...
On the dresser sits a frame
With a photograph
Two little girls in ponytails
Some twenty one years back
She left one night with just a nod
Was lost from some back alley job

The one thing that I will advocate fully is that Abortion is not a form of birth control, The pill the patch the needle are forms of birth control they keep fertilization from occuring. Abortion is killing a fetus and eventhough it is a part of the mother it is still its own being. Killing a fetus and preventing the fetus from being formed are two completly different things.

Can't you see, it's not me you're dying for.
Now she's feeling more alone, than she ever has before.
She's alone, and I'm alone, now I know it.

Now for the more important allthough shorter part, Im really excited for my term project I decided on a video on childhood prostitution in canada. I know at first glimpse it dosnt seem to be an issue facign women in canada today but these children grwo up to be women. Also it perpetuates cycles of abuse etc etc Im excited. Working on it is sort of depressing but still interesting.

It sounded like somebody else that was talkin'
Askin' mama what do i do
She said just be nice to the gentlemen fancy
And they'll be nice to you
